Steve Howell is the Vice President of Moseley Abstract Company, Inc.
He is also the President of Howell Oil & Gas, Inc., an independent oil
and gas exploration and production company and Vice President of East
Texas Fuels, Inc., consisting of a chain of convenience store -
service located in Marshall, Texas.
Born in Marshall, Texas, and raised in Kilgore, Texas, he is a graduate of Captain Shreve
High School and Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served honorably
in the United States Navy.
Steve has twenty-six years experiencein the oil and gas industry and is very active in the
Texas Independent Producer's and Royalty Owners Association, having served as State Petroleum
Issues Chairman and East Texas Region Vice President. He has also served on the Cypress Valley
HUD Corporation Board, the Marshall Regional Arts Council, the Central East Texas Fair Board,
the Harrison County Law Enforcement Advisory Board and is past president and one of the founders
of the Marshall-Harrison County Crime Stoppers. He is also past chairman of the KDAQ - Red River
Public Radio Advisory Board.
